About Phil Knox
My passion is for pictures that tell a story - images that go beyond great composition, lighting and style but that also communicate a sense of journey, of a narrative beyond the moment.
Working across film content and photography, I've been running media company Purple Flame Media Ltd for over 19 years, predominantly collaborating with charities and NGOs to create compelling films and photography. Since 2009, I've expanded our range of services to include wedding and portrait photography. Whatever the situation, for me it's about understanding the people I'm working with, developing relationships that allows me to go beyond just a mere photograph. I never want to just turn up and press the shutter but want to take time to chat through the requirements of my clients and understand what's important to them.
About Caro Swan
Caro works alongside Phil Knox Photography as a co-photographer for events and weddings.
An accomplished photographer, she has a fabulous eye for detail and composition. Her relaxed and personable manner puts everyone at ease and enables her to capture intimate and unscripted moments. Working as a team, the combination of two photographers enable us to cover both the bride and groom preparations and gives differing perspectives at the service and reception.
